External partnerships

As a school we play an active role in initial teacher education, working with a range of providers to help develop beginner teachers as they start their careers. We are a lead school for both the Open University and Swansea University. This means we work closely with both universities to offer high quality mentoring and training opportunities for beginner teachers, allowing them to develop within the context of a 3-16 school, collaborating with pupils of all ages and with staff from across the school. 

We also support the development of newly qualified teachers across the area with Central South Consortium. We deliver the ASPIRE programme where experienced practitioners work with staff from a range of schools to continue the training of staff at the beginning of their teaching careers.
